Top 10 Anime

Honestly, as a kid i never really appriciated anime, always thought it was over-rated and kind of childish. Tried watching a few times, never got passed an episode or two. But about a year ago i sat down with my wife and started watching Naruto, my mind was blown. The art, the story, the comedy, the feels. It was great, amazing really. I consider myself hooked, cause i basically watch every anime i can, whenever i can. I guess taste can change with time or maybe i simply didn’t invest enough energy in it. Currently going through the animes I’ve made reviews on, but since they’re on break, i’ll find something new to watch. I’ll drop a top 10 Anime list of shows you simply shouldn’t miss if you haven’t been watching lately.

TOP 10 ANIME

1. Naruto (Including Shippuden)

The Anime Naruto has been referred to as one of the “big three” because of its wide popularity around the entire globe, and i must say it’s for good reason. It’s full of action, disturbingly fun moments, and amazing dramatic scenes that will hit you in the feels. The Naruto series is known for its memorable characters and relationships, and it continues to be one of the biggest shounen anime ever, even long after it has ended. This truly is a masterpiece.

2. Death Note

Death Note is a Japanese television drama series based on the manga series of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The show is centered around Light Yagami, who is a promising highschooler and aspiring detective with a strong sense of ”justice”. The Shinigami is a god of death able to kill any person as long as he is able to see the victim’s face and write their name down in the Death Note notebook. This series is truly one of a kind, and needs to be watched, by everyone.

3. Dr.Stone

In the modern world, every human on the planet was turned into stone after a mysterious flash of light engulfs the planet. This manga tells the story of how some people from the modern world try to rebuild civilization during the Petrification Age, or stone world as they call it. One of the main characters’ first creations undoes the petrification and is called the stone formula.

4. The Rising Of The Shield Hero

Iwatani Naofumi is summoned to another world to become one of the four heroes, shield, sword, spear and bow. But Naofumi specifically becomes the Shield Hero. Starting out with being labeled as the weakest, Naofumi found himself betrayed on one of his adventures. Having lost all faith and money, all that left is just his shield. Vowing to exact revenge to those who had betrayed him and finding a way home.

5. Plunderer

In a post-apocalyptic world dominated by ”numbers” each human will have their identity branded with their own ”count” when they’re born which could define any number related to their life. May it be one’s travel distance, amount of compliments given to them by others or the amount of caught criminals, this count leads them straight to the abyss when it has dropped to zero.

6. Darwin’s Game

Suduo Kaname is the protagonist of Darwin’s Game and creates the Clan Sunset Ravens. Sudou gets pulled into the Darwin’s Game without any prior knowledge of it, Sudou has simply survived on using his wits and sigil to get him through the various problems he encounters throughout the series.

7. Mob Psycho 100

Mob Psycho 100 is another original from the creator of One-Punch Man. i would say this series is a perfect example of a parody of shonen-style anime, revolving around by named Mob an an eighth-grader who is quite a quiet, reserved boy who specializes in exorcising evil spirits on his free time. The catch is that his supernatural powers are tied to his unstable emotions. If he gets to emotional or pushed over the edge, the entire world is in danger. This series truly thrives on the strength of its humor and its dynamic visual style, which is one of a kind with the exception of One Punch Man. (Same author.)

8. One Punch Man

Saitama, a hero who hails from the City-Z and performs heroic deeds simply for his own entertainment. He has trained himself to the point where he actually managed to break his ”limit” and can effortlessly defeat any opponent with just a single punch. He is now bored with his own overwhelming strength and frustrated from his lack of challenge. Therefore he joins the Hero society to find an opponent worthy of fighting.

9. Black Clover

The series focuses on Asta, a young orphan who was raised from birth after being abandoned at an orphanage along with another orphan, Yuno. While everyone is born with the ability to utilize mana in the form of magical powers, Asta is the only exception to the rule, since he is born without the ability to manipulate mana. He tries to gain magical power through physical training in a effort to become the wizard king.

10. That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime

Satoru Mikami is just an average 37 year old corporate worker living in Tokyo. He is almost content with his mainstream life. During a casual encounter with his fellow colleague, an assailant appears out of nowhere and stabs him in the gut. While he is slowly succumbing to his fatal injurie, a mysterious voice echoes in his mind and recites a bunch of commands which he is simply unable to make sense of. He slowly regains consciousness and discovers that he has been reincarnated as a slime, but that doesn’t stop him from living his nee life in an unfamiliar world.

This is obviously not a top 10 based on statistics, but rather my own personal opinion. If you’d ask me, these are the best anime out there. I hope you enjoyed the list and found something that sparked your interest, even if it was just a slight interest.
