🥃 First Impressions
Nose: The smoky and ashy taste hits the nose instantly, which can surprise your sense of smell, but after a few seconds the fruity, chocolate with a hint of cardboardy smell hits your nose and surprises senses like a shockwave, which is now in a competition with the smoky ashy smell for the trophy.
Palate: Lovely and rounded, honeyed, vanilla, smoky and ashy elements develop as it leaves a blossomy, yet oily sweetness in your mouth.
Finish: It finishes as strong, smoky and long, with a touch of hay, ash and citrus.
Overall: I’d say it’s a classic and a proud contester of Bowmore range. Smoky, fruity, ashy, sweet and delicious. A single malt made with a lot of pride.
❗ Conclusion
Is it worth buying? If you’re a whiskey fan, I’d recommend it. It’s a whiskey that carries a lot of pride, love and taste. Although it might not be perfect, it’s definitely running the race, considering it’s low pricing.
